The Haven Food Shelf

All staff and volunteers are practicing physical distancing of six feet or more and signage encourages all food shelf visitors to do the same.

Our experience is that asking for help or admitting that you need food can be embarrassing and that it is not something that people take. The haven is committed to purchasing food items to supplement the donations to keep an on going reliable access to food for those in need. It is designed to serve everyone who comes through the doors of the haven. Most families visited multiple times throughout the year with the food shelf turning none away.

Food drives are always welcome and appreciated. The feeding america nationwide network of food banks secures and distributes 4 3 billion meals each year through food pantries and meal programs throughout the united states and leads the nation to engage in the fight against hunger. There are no income or other requirements for people to access the food shelf community members must simply be in need of food.
