The Rugged Red Trail Half Marathon

Yesterday it finally happened.

Running marathons half marathons 5k s 10k s snowboarding hiking etc. On september 6th i am running a half marathon through the woods and hills of kentucky. Is it different enough to justify using a training program for a full marathon. You will be challenged and be running on rough trails beside an amazing natural arch and through several creek crossings.

This year is different than anything we ve been through but we will get through this. Because of covid 19 safety concerns and local state and federal cdc requirements the 2020 rugged red is going to be a virtual trail half marathon this y. This event is a huge fundraiser for the search and rescue teams of the red river gorge area so we hope you will stick with us to earn your medal you still must do a half marathon and do it on a trail. As of september 9 2017 i can now say that the toughest physical feat that i have accomplished is the 2017 rugged red trail half marathon.

The red river gorge is amazing so we did some photos and videos of this great event in a beautiful area. This is not a race for first time runners.
